100 Days Before Christmas Party

This year I decided to make up some Santa Bucks and introduce a new little ‘earning money for Christmas’ program at our 100 Days til Christmas Party.  The kids could ask for extra jobs – beyond their normal responsibilities – to earn extra money.  But this money was specifically for buying Christmas presents for their siblings.  Also, when I could see the kids making good decisions and being nice to each other I would give out random Santa Bucks.  Ryan, Katie, Emily and Megan each had an envelope to collect their money and they loved it.

We read The Nutcracker, and iced sugar cookies and then came up with a Holiday To Do List.  My kids sure love coming home to all the festivities.  Just a little preparation goes a long way.  This little tradition of ours is pretty fun.
