Walton Park City Trip–Olympic Park
Wednesday we headed into Park City to check out the Olympic Park. Here we are watching skiers practicing their flips into the pools below.
Dan’s picture shows the skier flipping behind us…
Baby Owen.
You had to be 50 pounds to ride the smaller of the zip-lines. When Luke jumped up on the scales he was 48 pounds and the guy winked at him and said he was big enough. I figured that meant Matt wouldn’t be able to ride it, but when he jumped on the scale he was 48 pounds as well. Poor Fos didn’t weigh quite enough. Emily, Megan, Annie, Leah, Molly, Luke and Matt were the riders – everyone else just rode the chair for fun. Here’s Matt getting ready to go first. There was an odd number of kids in the group so Matt went without a partner and it didn’t even phase him. He’s a brave one.
Molly and Leah…
Dan caught these good ones of Emily and Luke coming down. Luke acted like he was a little nervous to go – so these pictures are so funny. Completely emotion-less. When we asked him if he liked it he just replied that it didn’t go fast enough so it was boring. Oh he’s a funny kid.
After the kids zip-lined Chris and I, Ryan and Katie, Chris and Amy and Elisha headed up for the bigger zip line while Mom, Dad, Mike and Carly watched the kids. If we would have known how long it was going to take we probably wouldn’t have done it – but it was fun. Out of the two of us, we figured Chris would ‘win’ but I zoomed past him and was surprisingly faster. It was fun.
After just a minute in the Olympic Museum we headed over to 7-11 to get Slurpee's with Dan’s family before heading back to the cabin.
