Luke’s Fieldtrip to Pike’s Peak

I joined Luke for his 2nd grade fieldtrip on the Cog Wheel up to the top of Pike’s Peak.   It was a beautiful blue sky day as we got into the train.  On the way up we made observations of animal and tree life.  I was glad to see Aspen’s lining the tracks most of the way up.

It was cold and foggy at the top… and started to snow on us as we got out of the train.  We looked around for a minute and then went inside for donuts before heading back down.  So fun to spend the day just with Luke.
