Family Excursion to Cripple Creek
We headed out one evening to track down some beautiful yellow Aspen trees. We wandered up past Mueller State Park and ended up in Cripple Creek, about an hour and a half away. It was a cute little town. We just jumped out long enough to take a few pictures and then headed back again. We were told the Aspens would be in all their glory in just a week or two. Still fun to have a family drive and get out and see some of beautiful Colorado.
A Cripple Creek resident was nice enough to ask if we’d all like to be in the picture. While we were snapping this picture, the Hales pulled up. It was pretty funny to meet them an hour and a half away exactly at this spot and time. They were out looking for Aspens too. So fun to meet up and enjoy a few minutes together.
The other funny thing about this excursion was the donkey just walking down the street. What?
