The Pumpkin Patch in Canon City
The kids had Friday off school so we decided to head to Canon City to Diana’s Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze, which we had heard great things about. Besides a fieldtrip with Matthew as a kindergartener, we hadn’t been to a Pumpkin Patch since we lived in Germany. Of course it didn’t compare to the Ludwigsburg Pumpkin Festival – but nothing can. Still, we had a great day. Slides, rope climbs, hay rides, loads of pumpkins and a corn maze.
Running through the pumpkins to get to the tractor for a hay ride through the corn fields…
Playing in the big box of corn may have been my boys favorite thing of the day…
We split into teams for the corn maze. Emily and Matthew were already buddies for the day so they went with Katie. And Megan and Luke were buddies so I went with them. We raced around the maze looking for stands to punch our corn maze cards. It was a fun game to play while running around.

Balancing pumpkins on their heads became the thing to do…
