Matt’s first five weeks at Dixie Middle have been good. Right off the bat everyone mistook Matt for a kid named Kody. ‘Hi Kody... oh you’re not Kody.’ Some even started calling him ‘Kody2.’ There was not a faster way for everyone in the whole school to know who he was - and for that I’m grateful. Plus, now Kody is one of his best friends. Matt continues to make friends easily, while simultaneously enjoying his new Apple Watch which lets him keep up with his Colorado crew. Matt started off the school year doing some cross country training on his own since they don’t have an 8th grade program. So proud of this kid running 3-7 miles each morning before school. Amazing. Now he’s excited about Basketball training on Mondays and Wednesdays and Club Soccer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. His favorite classes at school are PE and Business Digital Literacy and he’s super excited about Math Counts... a fun competitive club for smart math kiddos with his favorite teacher. Matt’s been the most reluctant about our move to St. George but he’s actually really liking it here. It’s going to be a great year.
