Christmas 1995
Engaged - Christmas with our individual families
Chris and I were engaged and five days away from getting married in Salt Lake City. Chris spent Christmas at home with his parents and sisters in Sandy, Utah and I spent Christmas with my parents and siblings in Delta, BC - right before Scott left on his mission. For both of our families it would be our last Christmas before married kids and grandkids.
Christmas 1996
With the Waltons in Delta, BC - OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS TOGETHER
We flew from Utah to Canada to spend Christmas with: David, Mary, Dan, Amy, Mike, Brian (Scott was on his mission) and Grandma and Grandpa Walton
Christmas 1997
With the Johnsons in Sandy, Utah
We drove from Provo to Sandy to spend Christmas with Del, Shelley, Nikole and John, Ashlyn and Lindsey. Christmas afternoon we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Polson’s house to hang out with Shelley’s side of the family. I was pregnant with Ryan and feeling pretty weak and tired.

With the Johnsons in Sandy, Utah - RYAN’S FIRST CHRISTMAS
We flew from Maryland to Salt Lake City to spend Christmas with Del, Shelley, John, Nikole and Lindsey. Christmas afternoon we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Polson’s house to hang out with Shelley’s side of the family.

With the Johnsons in Sandy, Utah - KATIE’S FIRST CHRISTMAS
Flew from Maryland to Salt Lake City to spend Christmas with Del, Shelley, Lindsey (and probably John, Nikole, Ashlyn, Kyle). Christmas afternoon we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Polson’s house to hang out with Shelley’s side of the family.
Just before Christmas in Utah we spent the week in Orlando, Florida with all of the Johnsons. Such a fun week!

Home in DuPont, WA - FIRST CHRISTMAS WITH OUR LITTLE FAMILY
Chris, Ryan, Katie, and I spent Christmas at our home in DuPont, Washington. I was due with Emily and so we couldn’t travel. It was our first Christmas with just our little family.
David, Mary, Amy, Mike and Brian spent a weekend with us before Christmas.
Emily was born just three days after Christmas.

Spent Christmas with Scott, Elisha, Molly, and Baby Foster, Dan, Sarah and Annie, and Leah, Amy, Mike, and Brian. Unfortunately my Dad was hoping to have recovered enough from a back surgery earlier in the month but the day of their flights, didn’t feel like they should make the trip, so they stayed home by themselves. It was too late for anyone else to adjust their travel and was so sad. One of the pics below shows us skyping with them on Christmas Eve.

Spent Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson in Heidelberg, Germany. So fun to get a real tree, visit all of the Christmas markets and experience a German Christmas. It was magical and so fun to have Del and Shelley here to share it with.

Spent Christmas Eve with the Russells, Jacksons, Richins and Cooks. Then Christmas with our six kids. After all the presents were open we then sent the kids upstairs while we got the last present ready… new luggage and a 3 week trip back to EUROPE. Such a fun surprise!

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our five kids (Ryan is on his mission in Albania), Chris, Amy, Jane, Peter and Ali… and Mike and Carly.
After Christmas Grandma and Grandpa joined us with Dan, Sarah, Annie, Leah, James and Kate… and Scott, Elisha, Molly, Fos, Nate, and Owen. Loved our excursions Ice Skating in Denver and making our Walton Christmas Video.

Spent Christmas Eve with Grandma Johnson and the Jacksons and Richins. We spent Christmas Day with Grandma Johnson and our five kids. Missing Ryan who is on his mission in Albania - fun to Skype with him and his companion in their matching snowflake sweaters.

Spent Christmas Eve morning with the Jacksons, Hales, Theurers and Egberts at the Jackson home. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were spent with ALL six kids at home.
After Christmas we headed to Utah and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Walton and gathered with all the Waltons.

The first couple of weeks of December were spent in St. George at Grandma Johnson’s secondSpent Christmas Adam at Grandpa Johnson’s grave and then bowling with the Johnsons.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning we spent at Grandma Walton’s house with Katie, Emily, Megan, Luke and Matt… Mike, Carly, and the girls… and Brian.
Christmas Night we headed up to Sandy to celebrate with the Johnsons.
