France Trip - Azay-le-Rideau
From our pizza lunch in Chenonceau on to the Azay-le-Rideau… a charming 16th century château that sits on a small island in the Indre River, built simply for luxurious living! (Below: Katie and Taylor trying to come up with a new pose!)
The kids loved the staircases leading to arched windows. Lots of pics playing around outside.
The rooms are elaborately furnished with massive fireplaces and intricately carved wood chests and beds. Cute picture of Cassie taking a break in one of the large banquet rooms.
So fun to walk around the cute Indre River and see the château from all angles. Then lots of pictures from the flower lined pathway in front of the castle.
We got the giggles, taking pictures at the very end in front of the castle, especially when dad grabbed my butt and all the kids were laughing and then I said something dumb like ‘it’s so funny to be funny’.. We could NOT stop laughing.
Boy do I love my man. He just makes me laugh ALL the time.
Gelato at the cutest little pedestrian street in the town with the same name as the castle.
