Luke's Seminary Graduation
So Proud of Luke for graduating from 4 years of Seminary. 3 years at the Dixie High School Seminary building and one year of Online Seminary as we traveled around Europe, New Zealand and Australia. It was fun for Dad and I to be with Luke as he officially graduated. Bishop Monson and President Searle were both there to congratulate him as he walked across the stage.
With his white seminary honor cord was this note…
“Congratulations on your Seminary Graduation
This white honor cord is a symbol of your dedication to studying the gospel of Jesus Christ and completing your four year seminary experience. It represents the time, effort, and faith you’ve invested in learning, growing, and strengthening your testimony.
Honor cords are traditionally worn to recognize meaningful achievements. Wearing it shows that your spiritual education has been an important part of your high school journey.
As you head toward graduation and whatever comes next, whether it be missions, university, or the workforce, you take with you a ‘spiritual toolkit’ that is second to none. You have proven to yourselves that you can prioritize what matters most. You’ve shown consistency, faith, and a willingness to learn by the Spirit. We are proud of you and grateful for your example. Well done, graduate. You’ve earned this.”
“Be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.”
