Katie’s Baby Shower
It was so fun to help organize a baby shower for Katie’s first little one. We couldn’t decide on a lemon ‘can’t wait to squeeze you’ — or an orange ‘lil cutie’ theme so Katie made up cute invitations for both and we combined them!

Marilee hosted, put up a cute balloon arch, made two different versions of chicken salad with croissants and crackers and bought oranges and lemons galore. I put the Walton women to work cutting up fruit and vegetables, setting up the Lemonade Bar, putting together some bouquets of Trader Joe’s flowers, and plating lemon sugar cookies. It was fun to have them here to help- especially Amy who misses some of these family gatherings. Jane, Ali, Whitney and Mara loved being invited and were so eager to help and be a part of all of the festivities.
We had groups of people indoors and out. It was so fun to have my aunt Jennifer and cousin Elisa here and the Starbuck ladies including Brianna’s new baby, Calvary. Heidi Nelson came… Megan and Ali… Nancy and Hannah… Katie’s work friends… college friends… married ward friends… and the johnson crew.
Katie was spoiled with presents. Every one of our family and friends were so generous and thoughtful. Several people who couldn’t come send in money towards a group gift of a new stroller. I gifted a baby boy outfit and toy and a baby girl outfit and toy. I’m so excited to see what it’s going to be!!
