France Trip - The Louvre, Rue Cler and the Eiffel Tower
Musée Du Louvre
After church we headed straight for the Louvre to wander through galleries and admire all the paintings and sculptures in this iconic building. I think we saw more today than I have on my previous visits.
Rue Cler
One of my very favorite spots in Paris… this beautiful bakery on Rue Cler. “Une tarte aux framboises et un éclair au chocolat, s'il vous plaît!” I ordered entirely in french. And then I went and ordered a second éclair!
The Eiffel Tower
The grassy field in front of the Eiffel Tower was packed full of tourists and locals having picnics and enjoying the afternoon weather. We took some pictures, helped Katie with a cute Eiffel Tower reel and then walked over to the tower ready to start our ascent. Here we go… climbing the almost 700 stairs to the second floor.
Watching the lights twinkle on the Eiffel Tower was one of Cassie’s bucketlist items. It’s pretty spectacular. We were hoping for crepes at the stand by the carousel but the carousel and crepe stand were completely gone. So we headed off in search of another place to get crepes and I think everyone enjoyed them.
