Misc November and my birthday - 2021

Sunday, November 7th

Day light savings gave us an additional hour of sleep. We woke about the same time and were able to do CFM before church. No meetings for Chris. Matt was funny asking interesting questions and it led us off topic a lot. Like normal, Megan kept us on track. Church was great. 10:00-12:00. Luke and Matt stayed afterwards for Bishops interviews. We had pot roast potatoes, gravy, roasted carrots and salad for dinner. Chris helped Megan with her Humanitarian XP registration. Megan took the boys to a Fireside with Pres. Eccles and Chris and I marveled that we are at this stage. Chris and I had a planning session with calendars and schedules out. At 6:00 we had a new family over for ice cream. Fun to meet them and talk for a couple of hours. When the kids went to bed Chris and I watched Ordinary Joe.

Monday, November 8th

I exercised, sat in the sauna, read, got ready and cleaned. Yvonne came over for a few minutes. I did some errands and when Chris got home we ate leftovers and then headed to Scheels and then Dicks and were able to get some presents purchased. Love getting things accomplished with Chris - especially getting a good deal. Fun to be with him.

Tuesday, November 9th

I exercised, cleaned, vacuumed the whole house, researched presents, ordered something for the boys and amazingly found $10 tickets to A CHRISTMAS CAROL for December 1st. That will be fun! Chris called from work and expressed a desire to head home early and have me come with him to Denver to pick up his mom. We drove up, ate at Torchy’s and I helped Chris finalize his yearly calendar on a new spreadsheet hs was creating. So fun. We walked around Park Meadows Mall for a bit before heading to the airport.

As we entered the house I was met with a clean kitchen, gold and white streamers, pink balloons, fresh brownies and a pile of presents on the coffee table. So fun! Chris and Megan had shopped together and had picked out so many fun things… green Anthropologie bowls, lavender bath salts, 2 candles, Athleta leggings, my favorite rust colored sweatshirt from Target, caramel Ghirardelli chocolates, EOS chapstick. Love them all! We ate brownies and mint chocolate ice cream and then headed to bed.

(We must have enjoyed Wednesday with Shelley - althought I didn’t write anything about it - and then we headed to Cancun Thursday morning. Grateful Grandma Johnson could watch the kids.)
