All about Luke

All about Luke at 18 1/2 years old…

  • He’s almost done with his Senior Year at Dixie High School. He doesn’t love all of his classes and sometimes needs some encouragement to get going, but he always puts a good amount of effort in to really understand and do well on assignments. He will likely graduate with High Honors because of his high GPA.

  • He definitely loves his ‘XL sized shirts, baggy wide-leg jeans or oversized jorts’ style. He has all kinds of really ‘fire’ shirts with characters from his favorite shows. I found him this Kendama shirt for Christmas and he loves it.

  • Of course these pictures explain his obsession with Kendama. He practices and practices and is really quite talented. Wherever he goes with his Ken, people watch and are impressed. One time recently he and I were walking into Target together - a rare occurrence for sure - and he had his Ken around his neck, a ‘fire’ shirt and his black jorts and his white vans. He then turned to me and said, “Man, I look so fire. Are you so proud to be walking beside me?” Yes I am, Luke. Always.

  • Luke has gotten into Anima this last year — his favorite shows being Invincible and … (I need to ask Matt for the rest of them)

  • Luke has loved dying and growing out his hair a bit this year. Each haircut he tells me exactly what and where to cut so it’s just the way he wants it.

  • Luke’s favorite foods are chocolate milk, milk, canned peaches, honey lime chicken put into tacos, and peanut butter pie.

  • Luke has been accepted to BYU and will attend when he gets back from his mission to the New Hampshire Manchester Mission starting June 10th

  • Luke has enjoyed high school with a good group of guy friends, but his best friend is Matt and they spend countless hours together watching shows, jumping on the trampoline and wrestling.

  • Luke has developed a love of traveling in Europe. Some family members were trying to convince him that he would love Bali, Indonesia and he probably would, but later he said to me… “I can understand why they think I would like those kind of activities. But I just don’t think they understand how much we like walking around Europe.” His favorite countries would probably be Germany and Italy.

  • Luke has worked at Mo’Bettah’s for two years now and is the youngest shift lead currently there. His boss and co-workers appreciate that he’s a hard worker and can always be counted on.
